Vision Insurance
American Eye Care's knowledgeable staff is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit your vision care claim. They strive to make sure you understand your insurance coverage and answer any questions you may have about your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover many basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans often require a co-payment for office appointments as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient.
Medical insurance
American Eye Care also works with medical insurance. They will use your medical insurance for eye conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, corneal health problems, and diabetes. Medical exams and digital images of your eyes are essential to maintaining your eye health.
Medical services will be billed to your medical insurance and your deductible and co-pays will apply.

Flexible cost accounting
Many employers are offering flexible spending account (FSA) options to employees. These are sometimes referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to help you save money in a pre-tax account to pay for additional medical expenses like eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with your workplace benefits administrator to see if you qualify for this program. FSAs can usually be used with any vision insurance plan to offset out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
Other payment options
Their optometry staff understands that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers. We do not want cost to be a barrier to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept a variety of payment methods and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any exam. At American Eye Care, we also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Conditions
Our staff will collect any applicable co-payments and charges for non-covered services from you at the time of service. We will file a claim for services with your insurance company and expect to be paid by your insurance company. Please be aware that payment from your insurance company cannot be guaranteed, and benefits are not determined until your claim is processed. You will be financially responsible for any claim that your insurance company denies.
